Financial Director / CFO

Our partner is a game development studio with a distributed team, registered in the EU in 2021.
Developing mobile games with a revenue of $10M+ a year.
Team: 80 people located in the EU and CIS countries (office or remote work).
Communication and documentation: in English (the position requires a fluent proficient level).

Role:
We are looking for a Financial Director / CFO with experience in IT (ideally, gamedev or mobile development), and based in the EU.

This is the first time such a position has been opened in the company.

The role focuses on building a strong finance and accounting team, driving strategic planning, and implementing a financial strategy to support the continuous scaling of the company and its product.

For which tasks (responsibilities)?

• Financial Strategy & Planning.

• Financial Operations: planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.

• Banking Relationships: maintain and enhance relationships with banking institutions, payment providers, and financial partners across multiple jurisdictions.

• Compliance & Risk Management: ensure compliance with financial regulations in the EU, including tax laws and other relevant standards.

• Management reporting: develop and implement the process for the preparation of management reports for the CEO and the company’s shareholders.

• Investor Relations: assist in investor relations, including preparing financial reports, presentations, and supporting materials to communicate the company’s financial performance to stakeholders.

• Cash Flow Management: oversee cash flow management for both the headquarters and subsidiary.

• Team Leadership: lead and manage the accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, bookkeeping, and tax compliance.

What kind of professional are we looking for?

• Experience as a Financial Director in a fast-growing company, ideally within the gaming, technology, or digital sectors.

• Working in companies generating about $10M+ in annual revenue.

• Deep understanding of EU financial and accounting regulations.

• Experience managing relationships with banks, financial institutions, and payment providers across multiple jurisdictions.

• Experience building the team, transitioning the company’s financial processes to match a larger-scale business, automating short-term cash flow planning, and eliminating manual processes.
